Busy Winter

The first month of 2011 is already coming to a close, but we’re excited for this first quarter. We had an unusually busy winter with many people rushing to convert to air conditioning and upgrade their existing systems. One of the leading factors for this was the $1500 tax credit offered to homeowners who installed heating and cooling systems that fulfilled certain energy-efficiency requirements.

Tax credits for efficient systems

Tax Season Approaching

If you were one of the homeowners who had a new air conditioning system installed last year (we congratulate you on a wise decision), take a look at this page from the Department of Energy to learn if you qualify for a credit and how to claim it.

Although this $1500 credit has ended effective December 31, 2010, it’s not too late to get some money back for installing a more efficient system. An extension has been made on an efficiency tax credit, though it will now be reduced to $500. You can find a good article about this here. If you’ve been on the fence about replacing or upgrading your system, you might want to take this into consideration before the tax credits are eliminated.

Hitting Triple Digits!

We’re still a few months away from triple digit temperatures in Southern New Mexico, but Four Seasons Heating & Cooling is nearing 100 fans on our Facebook page, so if you’ve not yet found us there, click the link and like us! You can also check in on your smartphone if you’re ever in the building and make your friends jealous that you were here (there is always music playing and there are doughnuts and big bowls of candy available on occasion, so it’s really not such a bad place to be.)

We hope 2011 has been treating you well. As always, if there’s anything we can do for you to make your environment more comfortable, give us a call at (575) 523-4381 or drop us a line through the website! Have a great weekend.
