Four Seasons Heating and Cooling is proud to announce that we have once again been working with dozens of area youth in the building of a Construction Trades Partnership (CTP) house.

For those unfamiliar with CTP, Construction Trades Partnership is a non-profit organization comprised of the Las Cruces Home Builders Association, Las Cruces Public Schools and Doña Ana Community College. The purpose of this organization is to assist in the education of students in vital construction trades. Four Seasons has been actively involved in these projects from the beginning in 2004.

On February 4th, we welcomed two groups of students to our location at 2261 Copper Loop to be given an insider’s view of how the heating and cooling system of a home is designed and fabricated.

Students study how the system is laid out.

One week later on February 10th, the students were taken to a 1181 square foot house on 975 Poplar Ave. to watch and participate in the installation of the house’s heating and cooling system. While putting the system together, Four Seasons employees assigned tasks for anyone interested in helping out and answered questions about what they were doing and why they were doing it.

Carlos Correa of KRWG was kind enough to cover the event and produced an excellent report, complete with interviews of several people involved in the project. You can see it here.

There’s still one phase of the project left to go and we look forward to having the students back to finish the job. It’s been a pleasant experience for everyone and we’re honored to be involved in the development of the next great generation of builders.
